表示比较用to或者rather than

prefer A to B 与B相比更喜欢A(A、B为动词时,用-ing形式)

prefer A rather than B 与B相比更喜欢A

prefer to do ... rather than do ... 与做.......相比,更喜欢做......(than后不加to更常见)

prefer的过去式、过去分词和现在分词要双写字母r,然后加-ed或-ing.

4.recommend vt.

(1) 推荐,介绍;

recommend sb./ sth.(to sb.) (向某人)推荐某人/某物

你能推荐一位好律师吗?

I recommend the book to all my students.

我向所有的学生都推荐这本书。

The hotel is highly recommended.

强烈推荐这家酒店。

She was recommended for the post by a colleague.

注意:不要说recommend sb sth

(2)建议,劝告

要点精析:

recommend doing sth. 建议做某事

recommend +that从句(should+动词原形,should可省略)建议某人做某事 

经典例句:

The committee recommended a 1% tax for all imports.

注意:quit后接动词时要用ing形式。
